MARMIFERA SRLSMATERIALS AND BESPOKE STONEWORK
Marble brings veining and shades into interiors that vary from slab to slab. At Marmifera SRLS in Poggibonsi, we guide the choice of marble for furnishings, architectural stonework and memorials, assessing dimensions, colour and finish together.
Bianco Carrara CD, with its light background and grey veining, is an option for a bright effect. Dark varieties such as Nero Marquinia create strong contrasts. Colour and vein distribution must be checked on the slab: a photograph is a reference, while natural stone always varies.
We make bespoke bathroom tops, tables, consoles, fireplaces, stairs, thresholds, floors and cladding. Marble is also used for headstones and memorial tablets. For kitchen worktops, consider your daily use first: acidic substances can alter a calcareous surface.
A polished finish enhances reflections and veining; a honed surface gives a more matt appearance. The choice depends on material and use. For daily cleaning, use products suitable for stone, avoiding acids and abrasives. Protective treatments are agreed according to the surface.
Indicative images: these do not show slabs in stock. Colours and properties are checked on the actual stone.
